Mimi  Hancott

Mimi is an Apprentice Solicitor in our Family Department.

She has several years of experience representing parents in child arrangements disputes and other aspects of private law, such as Specific Issue Orders and Prohibited Steps Orders. She regularly deals with complex cases involving serious allegations of domestic abuse and has a wealth of experience preparing for multi-day fact finding and final hearings. 

Mimi is passionate about assisting victims of domestic abuse in obtaining protection for themselves and their children. She works closely with a number of domestic abuse charities, in order to ensure support, safety and legal advice are provided to survivors and vulnerable people as quickly as possible.

Mimi joined Sills & Betteridge in 2021 after graduating in law from Brunel University London. She is due to qualify as a solicitor in early 2026.

Her supervisor is Dominic Lee.
