Welcome to our Family Law Webinar Series
1. Getting Divorce Ready
Preparing for a divorce is a crucial step. Our first webinar, "Getting Divorce Ready," will help you understand both the emotional impact of divorce (including how you can best prepare and cope), and the legal process.
2. Sorting Out The Finances
This webinar will look at the importance of clarity when it comes to the finances – getting your ducks in a row, making the right choices, strategies to handle working together if you own a business, keeping personal and professional matters separate.
3. Supporting Children Through Divorce (and beyond)
This session focuses on children, both young and adult children – common fears, dos and don'ts, what to say and when, their healing cycle and what you can do to help them. Creating a vision for your parenting and co-parenting. Putting together a parenting plan, and what to do if your ex won’t stick to it.
4. Planning For The Holidays
A challenging subject for all separated parents – the holidays. We will look at planning ahead for holiday times, how to handle / reframe times when the children aren't with you. What is fair when it comes to allocating holiday time? What if your ex refuses to give you the passport, do you need permission to go out of the country? Where does Parental Responsibility fit into things?
5. Handling a Challenging ex-partner
Dealing with a challenging ex-partner can be a major obstacle in the divorce process. In this webinar, Claire will look at strategies to deal with obstructive ex-partners who won’t engage in the divorce process – how to communicate well and set boundaries. Dom will focus on the enforcement of financial remedy, what to do if you suspect your ex is hiding assets and in what circumstances you may have to go to Court.
