Financial Issues for Married Couples

During divorce proceedings, both parties are able to apply to the Court for a number of financial orders.

The following orders are available:

Spousal Maintenance
Lump Sum Payment
Sale/Transfer of Property
Pension Share/Attachment

The starting point for dividing financial assets on divorce is an equal split. There are factors however that may weigh for or against a person in determining the final outcome. We will discuss with you what factors should be applied in your case to ensure that you achieve the best possible outcome. Faced with pressures to sign a clean break order, that would leave me with marital debts, I was put in contact with Michelle Cooper.
