Powers of Attorney

Powers of Attorney Solicitors

A Power of Attorney enables you to appoint others to deal with your affairs (both financial and welfare) during your lifetime. Our specialists can explain the different types of Powers of Attorney that are available to you and advise you which best fits your requirements. It may be that you want someone to manage your affairs for a short period, whilst you are unable to yourself, for example because you are overseas. Alternatively, it may be that you want to put in place some future protection in case you become unable to manage your affairs through loss of capacity, whether as a result of illness or accident. A Power of Attorney can only be made whilst you still retain the capacity to do so, and can save much difficulty in the future. If a Power of Attorney is not made before the loss of capacity an application can be made to the Office of the Public Guardian.

  • We can offer guidance and advice on:
  • Making a General Power of Attorney
  • Making a Lasting Power of Attorney for Property and Financial Affairs
  • Making a Lasting Power of Attorney for Health and Welfare
  • Registering a Lasting Power of Attorney
  • Registering an existing Enduring Power of Attorney
  • Revoking a Power of Attorney
  • Assisting Attorneys with the administration of the affairs of the person for whom they have power of attorney
  • Assisting Attorneys with applications relating to the affairs of the person for whom they have power of attorney
  • Making a Living Will

Our team would be happy to meet with you at any of our offices, or where necessary they can visit you at home.

FREE STORAGE OF WILLS, LPAs and TRUSTS
