Laura Herrod

Laura Herrod is a Solicitor working in the Personal Injury Department.

Laura has a varied caseload on a range of Personal Injury matters including compensation claims arising out of accidents at work, road traffic accidents and accidents in public places. Laura also makes Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority applications for victims of violent crimes.

She also assists her supervisor, Simon Breeden, on higher value personal injury claims.

Laura studied Law (LLB) at the University of Lincoln where she achieved a First Class Honours. Laura went on to study the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at Nottingham Law School after receiving a Dean’s Scholarship for Academic Excellence; Laura achieved a distinction.

On 18/2/2023 I had an unfortunate accident in a supermarket. They admitted full liability immediately. A good friend of mine recommended Sills & Beveridge to seek compensation. Over the following months, Simon took me through the entire process, making arrangements to seek specialist orthopaedic advice to provide written reports and follow-up physiotherapy. I met Simon over 5 years ago, during the worst time of my life. From day one, I have been shown nothing but respect, reassurance and a listening ear. Nothing was ever too much trouble. He is kind hearted, patient and the best at what he does. I have felt very safe knowing that my case was being looked after by him.
