Under the Equality Act 2010, employees and workers are protected from discrimination based on protected characteristics. One protected characteristic that has been particularly topical is “religious or philosophical belief”. As a consequence of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Tribunal has now found itself ruling on whether a fear of catching Covid-19 is a philosophical belief.

Sills & Betteridge Senior Partner Steps Down After 4 Decades

Following an incredible 43 year career at Sills & Betteridge, distinguished solicitor Stephen Wilson retired as the firm’s Senior Partner on 31st December 2021. His position was taken over by Karen Bower-Brown, the first woman to become Senior Partner in the 260 year history of the firm.
